Frequently Asked Questions
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Your hours are recorded based on the timesheet, on site clock-in system or the Aqumen phone app, these can vary depending on the client you are assigned to.
Aqumen Recruitment can only process hours that the client has authorised and approved.
Timesheets are sent by the client each week to confirm the hours you have worked for payroll. You are paid the hours which are confirmed by the client via a signed and authorised timesheet.
These are statutory minimum pay rates set by the UK Government and vary based on your age and employment status. Aqumen Recruitment ensures all workers are paid at or above the legal minimum.
Payslips are issued weekly through our secure online payroll portal Sage HR.
When you get paid for the first time you will receive an email from SageHR asking you to register, follow the instructions on screen and complete the registration. Once registered and have a working account you can view your payslips online.
If you have a question about your pay, or think your pay is not correct, please email payroll@aqumenrecruitment.co.uk with your name, phone number, email, dates under query worked, company worked for and location. You will receive a response within 1 working day of sending this query.
Your first wage will be paid in arrears. Payment in arrears means a worker is paid after the work has been completed, not in advance.
For a weekly-paid worker, this usually means:
- You work a full week first
- Your hours are recorded and approved
- You are paid for those hours the following week
Example timeline
- Week 1 (Mon–Sun):
You work your hours as normal
- End of Week 1 / Start of Week 2:
Your timesheet is submitted and approved
- End of Week 2 (Friday):
You receive payment for Week 1
So, although pay is weekly, it is one week behind.
